In the second quarter of 2024, the Latin American food delivery service applications on iOS have shown varied performance trends. Sensor Tower's data gives us a closer look into downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the top contenders in the region.
iFood: pedir delivery em casa experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting the quarter with approximately 89K downloads and peaking at nearly 99K by mid-June. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, beginning at roughly 2.35M and reaching up to 2.52M at the end of April, before stabilizing around the 2.4M mark towards the end of the quarter.
Rappi: Market and Food Online saw a steady increase in downloads from about 58K to 76K by the quarter's end. Revenue remained relatively consistent, hovering around the 28K to 33K range, with weekly active users starting strong at about 988K but dipping to 946K in mid-June and then slightly recovering to just under 1M.
For PedidosYa - Delivery App, downloads initially decreased from 42K to 39K but saw a rise towards June, reaching approximately 51K. Weekly active users exhibited growth, with an initial count of 743K and a peak at 807K by mid-June.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a level download trend, starting at about 31K and peaking at 36K. The weekly active user base grew from nearly 491K to over 534K by the end of April, but then experienced a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 520K.
Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine showed variable download numbers, with an early quarter figure of about 5.6K, a mid-quarter jump to 8.8K, and then stabilizing at around 7.6K. Revenue started at 8.6K USD and saw a spike to 16.7K USD, followed by some fluctuations but generally trending downwards. Weekly active users rose from around 43K to 48K, indicating a steady user engagement.
